I would like to know if there are certain domains that are illegal, if I’m planning to offer a service related to the products trademarked name.

now, if they’ve trade marked ipod musical cinema – can i get ipodmusicalcinema.com ?

Question: About 2 days ago I registered a domain name with 1and1. At the end of registration process, a message displayed which told I would receive an email containing my needed information to log in my account within 24 hours.
Today I received an email from security-team@1and1.com which states:
"In order to authenticate, and activate your account, we will ask that
you provide us with a copy of your passport, or government issued photo
ID. To avoid added delays, please keep file sizes under 5megs, colour
images are preferred, and only gov’t issued documents from the country
listed in your address are accepted as we need to verify both identity
and place of residence."
I want to know if it is normal? In fact I would not like to send these very private information to theme. What do I do?

Question: is it ok if i register names of existing sites with different extensions? for example: the domain name: Aapya.com is taken but Aapya.net Aapya.co Aapya.org are not

Question: I currently have a domain registered with GoDaddy.com, and was using their free hosting. I don’t like their banner at the top of my page.

Registering domain against IP address?
Question: I have a static IP address on which I am running a web server on port 8080. I registered a domain, say test.com and changed its Type A record to point to my static IP. What I wanted was that if someone types http://test.com:8080, he should be redirected to http://168.my.ip.address:8080 but it doesn’t seem to be working.
I tried running whois and the results show that test.com indeed resolves to my IP address. What should I do to make it work?

Question: This weekend I was in my boyfriend’s car with him and I found a paper in his glove box where he had registered a domain name. He became VERY angry and snatched it away from me. Needless to say, I am determined to find out what it was about.
The only info I was able to see was that it was registered with "GoDaddy" and a partial email address he had used in registration something like "kel@legacy…". I wasn’t able to catch the rest of the email address. I can’t even find the site that offers this address…does anyone know what it is? Any way I can find the address with only part of it?

Question: hey so im setting up a site called "nufc.ie", i have the domain and hosting purchased but the host said i had to register it, and directed me to "Irelands Register Domain".I just want to post blogs on it etc, when i register im not sure what class to choose. I have the following choices:
