Registering a Domain Question/Problem?

Question:

I need to get a domain in order to create a website. The problem is that I need it to look like I have operated the website for a few years. (BTW – I am doing this in order to get a job that I really need; not to cause harm to anyone). If the job I am applying for looks hard enough, they can see when I registered the domain. Is there a way to "back date" the domain registration date? Any other suggestions? I really need this job.

Registering domain name VS buying web space?

Question: As I understand it, in order to create a website you must first register a domain name and buy a web space.

Having a registered domain name allows you to have a simple url you choose, like www.example.com, instead of something like www.geocities.com/example.

The web space is where you store your html, css, etc files.

If this isn’t a correct understanding please correct me.

So my first questions: If you register your own domain name, but want to use free web hosting, can you make your url direct the user to the files saved on the free webhosting? In this case, after accessing the website will your registerred domain name still be in the address bar, or will the webhosting address be visible?

Second: Can you recommend any good web hosting sites that don’t have banner ads?

Third: If you answered positively to the last 3 questions, is there any concievable reason why someone like me, creating a small low traffic site, would regret paying to register a domain name and not paying for commercial web space?

Thanks for your help

Should I register for a new domain name?

Question: I recently registered for a new domain as XXXactivities and wrote articles targeting that particular keyword. Now with over 100 pages of content, I’m ready to publish. But I realized that most of my contents contain the word "games" – 70% more than the word "activities". My gut feeling is to register a new domain as "XXXgames" as the homepage.

The keyword "XXXActivities" gets over 5,000 visitors per month through overture, while "XXXgames" gets over 3,000.

Alternatively, I could do a find/replace changing "activities" to "games" and still keep the registered domain. But the article will look a bit weird. What do you think?
